Having used a proper metal Mouli grater for years, I’ve been very disappointed with this replacement. Difficult to use, cheese gets stuck in drum, impossible to remove unless in dishwasher.

A very handy and effective grater that is brilliant for Parmesan cheese. Although plastic, it is storng and durable and comes apart for easy cleaning

This does the job. However, compared to my last one of a different brand, this one only has one size of grater. The cylinder is quite narrow and sometimes gets blocked up. And it’s sometimes hard to get a grip to unscrew the rotating part to take it out for washing up.

It’s well made but hard to wash without grating your hands. Very fiddly to take apart and cheese gets easily stuck so you end up prodding around with a knife to get it out. All in all a bit if a faff!

The traditional version of this had a bigger diameter grater with a hole all the way through. This one is closed at one end and gets blocked immediately. It’s very difficult to clear with a knife as there are recesses in the barrel where it attaches to the handle. Useless!

Not the easiest grater to use, blocks very easily..needs grater blades to have larger holes!

I had a grater in this style as a child and it was the best but this is an extremely poor imitation. The barrel clogs very easily and is difficult to unclog. It is sealed at one end and very narrow with big plastic batons to get in the way. A complete and utter waste of money which should be taken off the market and redesigned properly. I am disposing of it after 1 use making it single use and bad for the environment as well. Minus 5 stars.

It only comes with one size of insert, which may be great for Parmesan but it’s useless for cheddar. We bought it to replace a different brand that has broken after being used so often. That won’t be happening to this one. It’s now at the back of the cupboard and we are back to using a traditional grater instead.
