My kitchen needed a little more space and I had a bread box on a top shelf of a cupboard. I was looking for a bread bin which is attractive and matches my pale sage kitchen cupboards and accessories .It would also need to fit on my work surface and hold sufficient bread products I can fit one and a half sliced bread loaves into it and a pack of crumpets down the side of the loaf . Perhaps a loaf and 4 bread rolls . Croissants and cakes and biscuits I can now store in a cupboard.
I am delighted with this bread bin it has a lovely shiny finish. The lid is attractive and fits snugly and no worries about dropping off or cracking a ceramic lid. The wooden tag is a nice little feature too!

This is a big heavy piece of stoneware and couldn’t be lovelier. The colour is very pale, soft sage/celadon green. I can fit two small loaves in it comfortably, or one big farmhouse one, and some odds & ends (crumpets etc). Because it’s glazed it’s very easy to keep clean inside, which is always important with a bread crock. The lid is bamboo and very nice looking, it adds a little modern touch. I really couldn’t be more pleased with it.
