I brought this as part of the set along with all other matching items but I find it heavy going to mash the potatoes as the slits are small and you need some strength to push it through the potato.

have not tried mashing potatoes only carrots and turnips. Unfortunately although both the vegetables had been boiled together until tender there was no way I could get a smooth consistency.
